I’ve worked on a lot of things over the years. Some of these are little toys I built for myself or to learn something new. Some were startup companies built with co-founders, employees. Some are side-projects that fall somewhere in between.
MillionBalls
The best way to get good at pool is to hit a million balls. The MillionBalls app is the second-best way.
MillionBalls is a web-based simulator that improves your real-life pool game. While there is no real substitute for practice time at the pool table, there are times when you just can’t get to one.
Facteroid
Facteroid is a fresh new approach to news. Facteroid’s mission was to bring transparency and accuracy to news reporting. Events were presented in short, factual updates with direct links to the primary source. Some entries were lists or data points extracted from primary sources.
Note: I stopped working on Facteroid in 2024 and it’s no longer updated. I’m mostly leaving it up for posterity.
You might be surprised to learn that the Internet has a misinformation problem. Jokes aside, you can hardly click around on the internet without seeing misleading or inaccurate information.
