About Me

Hello, I’m Vinay.

I’m a software developer. I discovered programming when I was about ten years old and haven’t looked back. I got my start writing programs in GW-BASIC on my DOS-based PC.

From those humble beginnigns I went on to get my PhD in Computer Science before jumping into the startup world as a developer and then CTO at OkCupid in their early days. From there, went on to work on a number of other startups as CTO, founder, advisor, and more.

Some things have changed. My first programs had lofty goals like adding two numbers or converting temperatures bettween Celcius and Fahrenheit. My recent endeavors have been a little bit more sophisticated than that. But I started writing software for the sheer joy of creating something from nothing.

That part has never changed.
