Links Section
Please note that the following are links to other people's
pages, and are in no way related to Vinay's World of Programming. I've only
included them because I think that they could be useful to programmers.
Programming Information and Documentation
Here are some links that should be useful for all kinds or programmers (beginners
or experts):
-
The X2
Programming Archive (FTP) - An archive of programs, utilities and documents that are mainly targeted at game programming, but should be useful for all kinds of projects.
-
The Simtel.Net CD-ROM Archive - The Simtel.net CD-ROM Online. Utils/info for every imaginable purpose.
-
Programmers' Vault - A great source for files, tutorials, utilities and more.
- Netscape DevEdge Online - Although it mainly focusses on Internet programming (HTML, Java, JavaScript) it also has lots of information for all sorts of other software development. Includes complete documentation for all technologies supported by Netscape products (Java, JavaScript, HTML, Dynamic HTML etc.), in both online and downloadable formats.
- Miscrosoft Developers' Network - Loads of articles and documentation for all Microsoft-supported technologies. Unfortunately there is very little in downloadable form. The 'Technical Search Engine' is pretty handy, too.
Advanced Programming Links
- http://developer.intel.com/ - Intel's Developer resources. Complete technical information on all Intel products, including the latest processors. Most manuals are available in downloadable PDF form. A free developer resources CD-ROM is also available.
The Programmers' Heaven
The Programmers' Heaven is an excellent collection of all kinds of files and links for programmers. Last time I checked, there were over 6500 files and 1600 links, on topics ranging from BASIC to C to JavaScript and HTML. A must-visit site for every programmer.
The C 'n C++ Assist Club
This is a Yahoo! Club dedicated to C and
C++ programming. It has over 1500 members of all skill levels ranging from
Beginners to Experts. Ask a question on the message board here, and you WILL
get an answer!
ABC Giant
An incredibly large collection of all kinds of web graphics including backgrounds, buttons, page dividers and banners.
Mozilla.org
Did you know that the C++ source code of Netscape Communicator is available for all to download and see? In fact, if you know Visual C++ and have some experience working on large programs, you can become a part of the team, and work on either developing or debugging Communicator. However, this is a place for serious programmers, and is NOT for beginners!
